“Recently, my friend and I were stopped on the street by police to check our documents. I had my passport with me, but my friend did not. They wanted to take him to the department to find out his identity. I decided to film it all on my phone camera, but the police told me that I had no right to film them while on duty - and the filming should stop. I didn’t argue, but it seems to me that they are wrong. Also interesting, does this also apply to traffic police inspectors?
– A police officer, like a traffic police inspector, can be filmed. But there are still rare exceptions to this rule - and if a ban on filming is imposed, the policeman must voice the reason.
