Are they subject to exchange and return to the store?

In practice, children's items (of high quality), such as hygiene items (for example, diapers), clothing and food, cannot be returned. But the situation is different with strollers - they are non-food products and can be returned to the store within 14 days from the date of purchase of the product or during the warranty period. But if the warranty period is not established, and a defect is found on the product, then you can return the stroller within 2 years, according to Art. 21 ZPPP.

When returning or exchanging these non-food products, you can safely rely on the law “On the Protection of Consumer Rights”.

If the quality of the product does not meet your expectations, then knowledge of paragraph 1 of Article 18 will be useful to you, and if the color or size does not suit you, then feel free to argue your position with Article 25 of the PZPP.

Any of the above types of defects allows you to return the stroller to a store or other retail outlet.

However, it is not possible to return the goods in the following cases:

  1. If the defect arose due to the actions of the buyer;
  2. If the buyer was informed in advance about the existing defects;
  3. If the warranty period has expired.

The warranty period is the period during which the manufacturer or seller provides the buyer with the right to return a defective product. It is installed on each item separately, depending on the characteristics of a particular product and legal requirements.

The warranty period includes:

  • warranty from the manufacturer - which is established by the manufacturer in accordance with the law (for example, in GOST);
  • warranty from the point of sale - which must be no less than the period specified by the manufacturer.

The buyer can return the product within two years after purchase, even if the warranty period has expired. However, this requires serious reasons. And the return procedure in this case will be complicated.

Buyer's rights

If the stroller is of poor quality, that is, violations and defects are identified, then, according to Article 18 of the Law “On Protection of Consumer Rights,” the buyer has the right to a number of demands.

The buyer has the right to:

  • To return and receive money;
  • To exchange the product for a new one with the same declared characteristics;
  • To carry out repairs free of charge;
  • To exchange for a product with other characteristics with payment of the difference in price
  • By agreement of the parties, a reduction in the price of the product equal to the amount of the defect found.

  • You can contact the store's customer service directly. Many retail stores (including those that sell their products online) have their own services. Otherwise, you will receive a replacement stroller (or the store representative will simply return your money).

You decide to return a faulty or disliked product to the store. To make sure you don't miss any important details, we'll tell you step by step what you need to do.

  1. Examine the appearance of the product, check the presence of all parts of the kit, and make sure that the stroller is in working order. The product must not show signs of use, scratches or damage.
  2. Place the stroller in the original packaging, case or bag, attach all existing labels, stickers and labels. The product should look the same as when you purchased it in the store.
  3. Prepare a complete package of documents that prove the moment of purchase: identification card, guarantee card, cash receipt, sales receipt, payment from your bank account. If there is no receipt, you have the right to refer to witness testimony (Article 18 of the Law of the Russian Federation), establishing the date and price of the purchase.
  4. Within 14 days or the warranty period, contact the seller to indicate your intention to make an exchange or return.

  • Partial refund corresponding to the degree of damage to the product.
  • Elimination of product defects.
  • Reimbursement of funds necessary for repairs and replacement of spare parts.
  • Refund in case of cancellation of purchase.

If the purchased product deteriorates due to a manufacturing defect within the period established by the warranty, you can return the toy or stroller back to the store. A high-quality product that has retained its presentation can be returned no later than 15 days, including the day of purchase.

Features when purchasing in an online store

Slightly different aspects should be taken into account if you ordered the product from an online store. It is easier to return the stroller in this situation, because you are ordering the item remotely, without being able to independently assess its quality and absence of damage.
