All that remains is to enter the necessary data about the driver’s license and click the “Request Verification” button. Using this service, you can obtain information about whether the driving license is valid and whether the driver has been deprived of his license based on a court order. The verification is carried out based on the information provided about the document. Checking the driver's license solely by the driver's last name, first name and patronymic does not work. And there are several reasons for this.

Firstly, among the drivers there are a lot of namesakes and full namesakes (the same name, surname and patronymic). Secondly, such personal data is publicly available, so anyone could obtain information about the driver and his rights. Checking the validity of the driving license and the availability of court decisions in the State Traffic Inspectorate database after entering the initial data on the document is done by last name, first name, patronymic, as well as by the driver’s date of birth. That is, the number and date of issue of rights leads to this personal data.

If for some reason it was not possible to obtain the necessary information through the online service, then complete and as detailed information as possible can always be requested directly from the traffic police department.

Rights are not valid

If your driver's license is not valid, you will see this message on the screen:

The invalidity of a driver's license may be due to the following factors:

• Rights have expired.
• The license was replaced with a new one, which the driver hides.
• The rights were obtained illegally (purchased) and were not registered in the traffic police databases.

In any case, you cannot drive a car with such a license.

The document is not valid and is being sought

In this case, the ID is wanted, i.e. It cannot be used when driving vehicles.

The reasons for this status may be the following:

• The driver lost his license and reported this to the traffic police.
• The driver was deprived of his license, but did not submit his license to the traffic police, but wrote a statement about the loss.
• The traffic police forcibly revoked the certificate. For example, the license was obtained using a fake medical certificate. As soon as this was clarified, the ID became invalid and ended up in the wanted database.

Benefits of checking

Driving a vehicle without a permit is fraught with sanctions:

• Traveling without a license (provided that in principle you have one) – 500 rubles. Sometimes traffic police inspectors release violators simply with a warning.
• The driver is deprived of a driver's license and is driving a vehicle - 30 thousand rubles. A traffic inspector can detain a driver for 15 days.

This status means that 10 days have passed since the court hearing, which are given for appeal, and the decision has entered into force. Within 3 days after this, the driver must submit his license to the traffic police.

If the driver surrenders the license within the period prescribed by law, the status will change to “The calculation of the period of deprivation of the right to drive has begun.”

The picture above shows information about a driver who has been disqualified from driving for 18 months. This driver handed over his license to the traffic police and is currently “serving” his sentence.

Since such punishment is possible only for very serious violations of the rules, I do not recommend hiring such a person. Moreover, at present he cannot drive a car at all.

This is a new status that appeared in 2021. It means that the driver is deprived of his license under an article related to alcohol intoxication. That is, along with the deprivation, a fine was also imposed, which the driver paid.

The certificate does not give the right to drive vehicles. However, the status, unlike those discussed earlier, does not allow the driver to understand whether the calculation of the period of deprivation has begun or not. Therefore, to clarify the information, you will have to call the traffic police.

Conducting a traffic rules knowledge test

This status appeared in 2021. In this case, the driver was deprived of his license, but more than half of the period of deprivation had already passed and the driver began to pass the theoretical exam to return his license.

A new status that appeared in 2021. It means that the period of deprivation of the driver’s license has expired and the driver has completed all procedures related to the return of the driver’s license after deprivation.

What should be an effective check of a driver and his documents?

Stages of quality testing:
